SAKURA WARS

This is 'Sakura Wars' from late 2007 and it was amoung one of my first professional drawing on the new heavy weighted silk gloss paper I had acquired. It features the Kawanishi Shinden-Kai or 'George' as it was known to the allies.

For those wondering about the title, 'sakura' means cherry blossom, hence the translated title 'Cherry Blossom Wars'. I have intened this as the first in a special five-part series on Japanese WWII aviation.
