This is my latest drawing and features a 245 Sqn Typhoon overflying the town of Mortain, France, August 1944. Mortain was the first time RAF Typhoons came up against an advancing Panzer division, savaged it, and brought it to a grinding halt in a critical military situation. Within a few days, the Normandy breakout would take place and the Typhoon units would be in the thick of it once more in the Falaise Gap. (Click for bigger image!)
