This drawing features a 'Dambuster' Lancaster bomber on it's way to the Ruhr Dams, May 16th 1943. It was my last airplane drawing on regular cartridge paper (125gsm) produced in May 2007, and was one of my first drawings since early 2004 - a long time to be out of the game, but I've still got it!
I only had one weeks warning to gather reference details, draw it and then drive up to AcesHigh gallery so it could be signed by the last 5 surviving Dambusters.

I had a lot fun drawing this picture and it was an honor to have it signed by the Dambusters. I also had the opportunity to chat with master sculptor, Peter Close at the event.
